JOB OPPORTUNITY – DEGREE APPRENTICE QUANTITY SURVEYOR
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a school or college leaver to join the team at DC Drywall Systems Ltd as an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor.
As an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor you will undertake a degree in Quantity Surveying and Commercial management at a nearby university (part-time/day release).
The company will invest in you to develop you into a commercial professional who will be responsible for, and capable of, undertaking the commercial management of exciting and varied construction projects. A positive ‘can do’ attitude is needed when approaching the role, to achieve your greatest potential. You will need to demonstrate good communication skills, strong numeracy, literacy and IT skills, the ability to work to deadlines and work well within a team. This is a diverse and rewarding opportunity for the right candidate.
MAIN DUTIES:
- Assisting the estimator with tender enquiries.
- Measurement from drawings and completed works on site
- Analysis of supplier quotes
- Procurement and placing orders with suppliers
- Assisting in the valuation of variations
- Assisting in project valuations and final accounts.
- Assisting with analysis of wages
JOB TYPE: Full time
SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday
EDUCATION: A level or equivalent (preferred)
WORK LOCATION: Head Office/Site (varies)
